SNA International seeks a bright, collaborative Data Analyst with a strong work ethic to join our team. SNA International’s team works together in pursuit of the same cause: build a safe and just world by empowering organizations in the use of forensics, biometrics, and identity intelligence.

Qualified candidates will utilize their statistical and analytical skills to conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance documentation, and metrics to identify improvements.

Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:

– Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques.
– Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
– Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
– Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
– Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
– Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
– Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
– Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
– Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
– Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
– Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
– Support additional activities, functions, or duties, as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or in another field with demonstrable coursework in these areas.
– Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
– Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g. Business Objects), databases (e.g. SQL), programming (e.g. XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
– Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g. Excel, SPSS, SAS)
– Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
– Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
– Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
– The ability to prioritize job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on excellent customer service is a must.
