We are hosting two, free, Job Club Crash Course sessions this month. Open to deaf and hard of hearing Texans, these sessions will cover soft and hard skills you need to have a successful job search.
Attendees will work closely with expert Donna Valverde-Hummel to get free job search advice, resume feedback, interview tips, and more!
October 5th to October 8th
Join us from 6:00-8:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Thursday for our weekday series. When you register for this series you will only need to register once to receive access to, and be reminded of all sessions.
October 16th to October 17th
Join us from 4:30-7:30 p.m. CST on Friday the 16th and from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. CST on Saturday the 17th. When you register for this series you will only need to register once to receive access to all sessions.
Meet Your Instructor
Donna Valverde’s background in deaf education lends to her skills in project management, language facilitation, and quality control. She holds two Bachelors: Spanish and Sociology and a Masters of Science in Deaf Education and Deaf Studies. She has taught English/ASL for a total of 6 years in various capacities: an 8-12 teacher, a community college instructor, and as a tutor. Currently, Donna is an administrative assistant and freelance writer. She is also pursuing certification in deaf interpretation. Donna believes that all deaf people should have high-quality access to American Sign Language and English. Language is the key to a thriving livelihood.
